A sugar mill does not consume electricity evenly. The crushing season concentrates demand into a few intense months, the plant is motor-heavy with substantial starting currents, and the air carries bagasse dust that settles on everything including the array.
At 400 kW the system is sized to sit comfortably beneath the mill’s running load, which means every unit generated is consumed on site rather than exported — the most favourable position solar economics allows. The design accounts for the dust through row spacing that permits proper access and a cleaning schedule built into the scope rather than sold afterwards. The array produces around 53,300 units a month.
